Photographs, letters, and clippings about the Honorary Doctor of Medical Sciences (1961) and the Doctor of Science (1983) degrees awarded to Janet Travell are housed in the MCP Hahnemann University Dept. of Archives and Special Collections.

Janet Travell posed as a child for the sculptress, Clara Hill, at her New York studio and is the figure of the “Admiring Child” in the bas-relief frieze of the “Woman Physician” by Ms. Hill which was presented to the Medical College of Pennsylvania by an alumna in 1916 and is displayed in a college hallway.

A small bronze statuette of Janet Travell at the age of twelve, also created by Ms. Hill, was given to Janet Travell by the artist when she was a child. It was later donated to the National Board of the College which in turn presented it to Archives and Special Collections.
